Educational School Trips

Educational tour to a farm for school kids will make them understand what it takes to grow their food. They will be taken on a guided walking tour around the farm where they will be able to get out in the fields and learn about the various activities in the farm. They will see how fruits & vegetables grow. They also get a chance to familiarize themselves with a wide variety of fruit plants in the farm and utilize the opportunity to pluck and enjoy the fruits, according to what’s in season. This tour lasts 1.5-2 hours for educational school trips. Get to learn about different farming/organic farming techniques like beekeeping, vermicomposting, rainwater harvesting, greywater filtering, multicropping, nitrogen fixing, crop-rotation, intercropping, drip irrigation, etc. Also get an opportunity to pet and feed the farm animals like cows & calves, sheep and goats, chicken, climb a tree or two and/or dirty your hands by participating in some farming activities.

Post lunch, we conduct indoor/outdoor games like Pagade, Chouka Bara, Lagori, Al-guli-mane and many other traditional rural outdoor games.

We can also organize a pottery session at a nominal cost, after which the children can take back their creations as a momento.

We focus on the topics based on the children grades and what they learn in their syllabus. Considering the distance and the maturity level of the kids, we suggest these trips for the kids in 1st Grade onwards.

Our farm visits for school kids are truly educational and we are very particular about the kids benefitting out of it. Therefore we always keep the group size less so that we will be able to focus individually.

You can get in touch with Kavya from A Green Venture for details, planning and booking.

How children benefit through our Nature experiential Day trips

☘️ Deeper connections with the world, besides humans many other creatures
🌿 Healthy respect towards nature, fauna helps many plant species grow
🌳 Trees are important, ecological balance, climate stabilizers
🪱🦋 See insects and small animals as significant animals who help the farmer
🤸‍♀️🧩 Having fun outdoors in fresh air, playing games
🍲Enjoy tasty, local food, grown and prepared at farm itself

These experiences deeply impact children in positive ways, we see to it that children understand what a natural farm is about and make the right choices and take learning ahead.

Please note that Farm Food is part of the Farm Experience and therefore we insist on including at least one farm meal with the farm visit to make it it a complete farm experience. The food is prepared freshly from the chemical-free ingredients grown in the farm by the local cooks in a hygienic kitchen.
